About Venture Out
With quality mountain bikes available for hire and offering guided mountain bike tours on custom-built tracks in the local forest, your pedaling adventures are catered for! We also have a fleet of Sit on Top Kayaks & Stand Up Paddleboards (SUPs) for hire, so you can explore the Gippsland Lakes at your leisure. Or book at Kayak or SUP Tour and be guided by us! You will find our shop at 347b Esplanade, Lakes Entrance. Operating hours vary with the seasons so plan ahead if you can to ensure you’re including an adventure with us into your trip!
Sarah Carlisle, owner of Venture Out has always been an adventurer. No doubt this came from the many family camping trips and being told to “go play outside” as a kid. Following a year as an Australian Youth Ambassador for Development in the Philippines, Sarah launched Venture Out, with the intention of integrating her passion for adventure, business and community development. Combining qualifications in Mountain Bike Instructing , Flat Water Guiding & Stand Up Paddleboard Instructing, Sarah will gladly guide you on trail or water! In-store you’ll often find our bike mechanic Zade working on bike servicing and repair to keep your bikes (or ours) running smooth!
In seeking to be a business that makes a positive difference, Venture Out chooses and uses brands of value, with regard for the environment, excellent customer service and Aussie-made or owned where possible. Venture Out are seeking to build an adventure community in the local area, increase participation and enjoyment of the outdoors and reinvest into both the local and international community.

Kayaking fun! - My two children and I went kayaking and had a fantastic time. The staff member was lovely and helpful. We would definitely kayak again with Venture Out!
